Black Like Vengeance - Port Phillip Bay Area Thrashers & Scandistralian Metallers will officially launch their debut cd 'All Has Blackened' November 24 at the Arthouse (Melbourne) annihilating the stage with four of metals current heavyweights. Recorded at Complex Studios, the cd was produced under the epic hand of Roman Koester who is fast becoming one of the most sought after metal and hardcore producers in Australia. The end result is 4 tracks of unrelenting melodic thrash delivered with visceral brutality and filled with uplifting melodies. A themeatic miasma of political upheaval that points the finger at modern society's defeatist attitude and our guilty souls.

The line up was solidified in early 2005. Their sound is essentially based on a fusion of many genres and influences ranging from death metal, hardcore, 80s rock as well thrash and swedish metal. They have shared the stage with some of Australias best metal/hardcore and cross over bands including Psycroptic, Double Dragon, Daysend, A Secret Death, The Rivarly, Truth Corroded, The Abandonment and Jungle Fever. Their intense live shows and mix of brutality, melody and screaming guitar solos has enabled the band to stand out from the pack and develop its reputation as a force in the melbourne metal scene.

The Green Room April 22 (Melbourne) Synthesist, Moredhel, Kania + more [17 Apr 2006|01:35pm]

bodycage
The Green Room is where you wanna be April 22, the mighty Synthesist team up with female fronted melodic death outfit Moredhel amidst newcomers
Black Like Vengeance and Ne Obliviscaris, one of the most talked about progressive black metal bands in the country. Joining them
will be Kania all the way from NSW, essentially Kania are a melodic death band with a blistering melodic drive, definately among the rare top few in the country
who successfully encompass intensity and ferocity in their performances and musical delivery.
Doors are at 8 and entry is 8 bucks w/flier. So get your dancing shoes on kiddies it's goin' to be a Melo Death Extravaganza!

Kania bring forth an undisputed brand of Melodic death that is both brutal and chaotic. An intense fusion of melodic harmony and sonic shredding that’s completed by ferocious death vocals unlike any other. With a prestigious world class sound that is second to none, Kania are not quite in a league of their own but they are in league with some of the Industry's most reputable national and international acts.

Having shared stages with Daysend, Switchblade, Dungeon, Zero Degrees Freedom, Devolved, Minus Life, Argument Soul (JAP), Frankenbok and Flesh Mechanic, the boys have also played Metal In The Veins, Faultine Festival, Reign In Metal 2 and many other profile festivals.

The boys also have a blistering EP under the belts, you can hear the full EP 'Remorse' at http://www.myspace.com/kaniaband

Encompassing influences from the likes of Armophis, Insomnium, Soilwork and Children Of Bodom, Kania are the new breed of old school Australian Melodic Death Metal and they are touring this month in Melbourne.

Two nights back to back showcasing Melbourne's finest dark melodic acts.
Get your pvc and fishnets on and get to Dream Nightclub April 28 to witness a strong showcase of Melbourne's new blood. Melodic metal
is at it's finest with Be'lakor, newly formed Gothic metallers Ashen Dusk debut with their brand
of black death and what doom should sound like when fronted by two female leads. Progressive pioneers Enter Twilight finish off the evening
with some melodic aggression and symphonic harmony laced with the beautiful haunting vocals of Lidia Szymczak. This is the band's
first show in 3 months since their album launch The Inner Verse, which is available now through all major leading retailers. Doors are at 8
and entry is 8 bucks.

Brothers and sisters of darkness, Your Doom Awaits You! 5 explosive acts set to tear your hearts in two, April 29 at The Arthouse.

The scene is set with Elegeion, one of Melbourne's oldest running progressive female fronted doom metal acts spanning a career of 10 years. With two full lengths on their sleeve, an EP and 3 successful demos reaching the furthest corners of the globe they debut with their first EVER live performance in the bands existance. Who can get enough of extreme metallers Ne Obliviscaris? Highly acclaimed and in high demand, fusing black - death influences, morbid violins, beauty and brutality. The Eternal return from sellout supports with HIM and Opeth. It will be Praetorian's last show with longtime runner Ian Ahles- be sure your there to make this a night to remember for the boys!

On tour in Melbourne this month are the doom metal sixtet Lycanthia from NSW. They feature on both evenings, wielding dual vocals over symphonic
passages, grudging death riffs and inexplicable violins. Sinister Online are hosting a track off their full length, 'Within The Walls' check 'em out in the demo centre.
